The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently for mitigating and preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace. The guidance includes recommendations specifically for workers in higher-risk workplaces such as manufacturing; meat, seafood and poultry processing; agricultural processing; and high-volume retail/grocery.
The updated OSHA recommendations for workers in these settings include:
- Fully vaccinated workers should wear masks in areas of
- Fully vaccinated workers in close contact with someone who has had COVID-19 should wear a mask for 14 days unless they have received a negative test within 3-5 days
The guidance also clarifies for types of contact when in close spaces that may not have proper ventilation, such as factory or manufacturing settings.
