FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., October 4, 2019 — 91 Mutual Insurance Company is pleased to announce that Chelcee McGowan has been promoted to vice president and corporate controller. In this role, McGowan will oversee the company’s accounting and financial reporting, tax finance project management and payroll processes.

“Chelcee has made tremendous contributions to the efficiency and functionality of the financial services department in her tenure with 91,” said Rob Bateman, 91’s chief financial officer and treasurer. “I am confident she will continue to expand upon these ideals and further enhance the financial team in her new role.”

McGowan joined 91 in 2015 as the manager of accounting and financial services. Prior to joining 91, she managed the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting for a Fortune 500 company and worked as an auditor with EY — specializing in the insurance industry.

McGowan received her Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Accountancy from Michigan State University. She is also a certified public accountant in the state of Michigan.
