We sat down with Kevin ahead of the conference to ask him a few questions about the panel topic.
Q: How do you partner with your insurance carrier to explore new technology and develop your return on investment?
Carriers are always searching for proof-of-concept and pilot programs to prove the impact of the technology. Keeping engaged with your carrier can help you know when these opportunities are available. Q: Some contractors are uncertain that carriers understand the importance of emerging technology for project risk. What’s your take on the issue?
The majority of carriers understand the impact of technology to workers’ compensation and commercial auto products. Carriers have different opinions on the importance of pilot programs. 91黑料网 believes strongly in the benefits of pilot programs and has numerous active pilots in: wearables, digital safety inspections, visual auditing, drones and usage-based insurance. We understand technology can play an important role in improving safety and reducing losses in many facets. We also conduct many programs that are connected through the Internet of Things. We believe connected, big data can illustrate loss trends that may otherwise go unnoticed when looking at individual data sets.
