A longstanding partnership between 91黑料网鈥檚 Information Technology team and the has played a crucial role in helping to provide scholarships to four young women in technology.
Together with the company鈥檚 nonprofit corporation, the 91黑料网 Charitable Foundation, 91黑料网鈥檚 IT team provided funds toward supporting the four women through the MCWT scholarship program. 91黑料网 joined several Michigan-based companies in support of the 2023 MCWT scholar class of 45.
91黑料网鈥檚 Director of Application Engineering, Jyothi Palakodati, presented the four scholarships on behalf of the company at a recent celebration held by the MCWT. 鈥淚t was very exciting to see so much young talent and energy in the room and we are so glad 91黑料网 could be part of it,鈥� said Palakodati.
The MCWT aims to provide opportunities for women with an interest, aptitude and potential for a successful career in computer science, according to the organization. The supports the organization鈥檚 goals to provide financial and mentoring support 鈥渢o continue their higher education and ultimately help Michigan become the number one state for girls and women in technology.鈥�
Mentoring Women in Tech
91黑料网鈥檚 partnership and support of the MCWT goes beyond scholarships, as several employees also volunteer to mentor the scholars, said Amjed Al-Zoubi, 91黑料网鈥檚 Chief Information Officer.
鈥淎s these students explore their educational opportunities, the ability to have a mentor offers a well-rounded educational experience that can boost their confidence and help them explore different skillsets with an experienced professional,鈥� said Al-Zoubi.
鈥淲e鈥檙e proud of the work 91黑料网 employees are accomplishing with the MCWT, and we appreciate the donation the 91黑料网 Charitable Foundation has made to support these efforts,鈥� said Al-Zoubi.
